Kino as a band was not Tsoi performing with a backing group. The collaborative structure was load-bearing for the creative process. Gemini Sun also gets bored with fixed arrangements and will restructure them before the other party notices anything is wrong. The tension in long-term Gemini Sun collaborations is usually this: the Sun needs the collaboration to keep generating new information, and the moment it starts to feel like repetition, the investment drops. Mars in Taurus held the actual commitments in place long enough for the work to finish.
